Startech Jeep Commander
BOTTROP, Germany — Startech, a German tuner specializing in Chrysler products, will begin offering a range of new performance pieces for the bulky Jeep Commander sport-ute.
For European customers who own the Commander 3.0 CRD, Startech's SD6 kit can boost the output of the 3.0-liter V6 common-rail turbodiesel from 218 to 262 horsepower, with torque climbing from 376 to 428 pound-feet. The 0-60-mph sprint drops from 9.0 to 8.5 seconds or less, and top speed is nudged from 119 to 124 mph.
The aero body kit for the Commander bundles a new front apron and grille, rocker panels with integrated LEDs, chrome mirror moldings and rear apron.
Startech also features a suspension-lowering kit, high-performance brakes and a stainless-steel sport exhaust system, as well as its Monostar IV five-spoke alloy wheels in 20-inch sizes.
Leather upholstery, stainless steel door sills and burl walnut trim are among the interior options available.

Startech Dodge Caliber
BOTTROP, Germany — Startech is offering an assortment of tuning kits to make the Dodge Caliber more powerful and more sporting.
Most notable for Europeans is the performance enhancement to the 2.0-liter common-rail turbodiesel, increasing its power from 140 to 180 horsepower.
For all Calibers, a stainless steel sport rear muffler and custom suspension modifications add "more driving fun," Startech says.
Custom Startech Monostar wheels are offered in 19- and 20-inch sizes, and there is an aerodynamic enhancement kit under development for release in the near future. Plus, Startech says, "extravagant highlights" are available to suit individual customer tastes.

Startech Jeep Wrangler
ESSEN, Germany — Startech has introduced an accessory package for both two- and four-door editions of the Jeep Wrangler that includes wheels, aero body pieces and interior upgrades.
A nifty add-on is a chrome-plated stainless-steel front guard that also happens to meet Europe's strict pedestrian-protection standards. In addition to a chrome-plated grille, door handles and mirror housings, the Wrangler Unlimited kit comes with stainless-steel rocker panels with integrated plastic steps, plus stainless-steel rear rub guards, exhaust tips and a spare-tire cover with polished stainless-steel trim.
Startech's Monostar IV five-spoke alloy wheels are available in sizes up to 22 inches, with tires up to 295/35R22.
The cabin can be trimmed in leather, Alcantara and polished stainless steel.
What this means to you: This is one industrial-strength Jeep.

Startech Jeep Patriot
A more aggressive-looking front fascia gives the vehicle a rugged, outdoorsy look that the original lacks. A rear apron and roof spoiler have been added for dramatic effect. Buyers can also order such exterior add-ons as chrome-plated covers for mirrors and windshield washer nozzles.
Startech has lowered the ride height by 1.2 inches with new sport springs. Monostar alloy wheels with 245/40R20 tires are included, with 19-inch combinations also available.
The European version of the Patriot benefits from Startech's SD3 performance kit for the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel. Output climbs to 177 horsepower and torque to 266 pound-feet. Startech says 0-60-mph acceleration is trimmed to less than 10.6 seconds, while top speed increases to 127 mph.
The cabin can be trimmed in leather or Alcantara, with such accessories as velour floor mats, aluminum pedals and stainless-steel scuff plates.

Startech Jeep Compass
The two oval tailpipes left and right are seamlessly integrated into the STARTECH rear molding, which is part of the striking designer suit for the Compass. It is styled like an underride guard. The rear molding can also be installed without sport exhaust.
The replacement for the front apron is also shaped like a modern underride guard and lends the five-door a more aggressive expression. The front can be further refined with two stylized air dams below the turn signals. Their 'eyelashes' give the 4x4 a sharper profile. The STARTECH body conversion is rounded out by rocker panels shaped like running boards.
The STARTECH look is further dominated by custom-tailored tire/wheel combinations for the Compass, available with diameters of 19 and 20 inches, instead of the stock 18-inch wheels. The STARTECH Monostar IV five-spoke wheels are silver polished and fill out the space below the wheel arches nicely. They are mounted in size 8.5Jx19 all around with tires in size 255/40 R 19 or in size 9Jx20 in front and back with tires in size 245/35 R 20 all around.
STARTECH also offers progressive-rate springs that lower the ride height of the American SUV by some 30 millimeters. The lowered center of gravity gives the vehicle even sportier and safer handling characteristics.
STARTECH also adds exclusive and individual highlights in the cockpit. These include stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated STARTECH logo and high-quality velour floor mats. Exclusive highlights in the Compass cockpit are added with the STARTECH Lifestyle interior upgrade package. It includes leather-covered door trim with embossed Compass logo and color-contrasted ornamental stitching that also adorns the trim piece for the dashboard. The interior is further upgraded with high-gloss silver-coated loudspeaker moldings that are designed to look like a compass.

The front of the new Grand Cherokee is customized with the strikingly styled STARTECH front apron. Its counterpart in the rear is a custom-shaped apron that features cutouts for the two characteristic oval chrome tailpipes of the STARTECH sport exhaust. The fully stainless-steel exhaust system is available for all engine variants of the Grand Cherokee. It produces not only a more sonorous exhaust note nut also optimizes power yield.
The sides of the five-door are upgraded with STARTECH side sills with integrated LED entrance lights. The lights are activated either with the standard keyless-entry remote or by pulling on a door handle. This STARTECH development makes entering and exiting the vehicle at night safer.
